Gathering

Pray 2010 will provide a rich and powerful tapestry of activities that will both inform and immerse participants in the riches and breadth of the Catholic prayer tradition. Together with times for prayer, teaching and formation, there will be opportunities to celebrate liturgy, listen to prayer stories, engage in discussion, peruse a wealth of prayer resources, link with prayer & renewal networks and spiritual directors, attend music concerts and experience prayer in voice, art and movement.

Who is invited to Pray 2010?

  • Members of Catholic parish communities from across Australia, New Zealand and beyond
  • Parish priests, pastoral ministers, parish pastoral councils and other parish ministry leaders seeking to promote/utilise prayer practices in parish life
  • Young people
  • Teachers and students from Catholic primary and secondary schools
  • Families seeking to develop prayer routines within the home
  • Members of Catholic lay organisations and renewal movements
  • Members of Religious Institutes
  • Members of Ethnic Communities
  • Diocesan staff working in various areas of church ministry
  • Catholics hungry for spirituality
  • Those seeking to learn more about prayer

While focused on Catholic prayer and spirituality, Pray 2010 welcomes members of other Christian churches and those seeking to know about how to foster a relationship with God in prayer.
